Question: Что такое функция вычисления концентрации?
Answer: В некоторых случаях измеряемая расходомером среда представляет собой смесь из двух несмешивающихся жидкостей, например, нефть и вода, где вода – носитель, а нефть – целевая среда. Функция измерения концентрации расходомеров ЭЛМЕТРО-Фломак расширяет стандартный способ измерения плотности, позволяя производить учет отдельных компонентов такой среды. Вычисляются значения расхода для отдельных компонентов и их процентное соотношение (концентрация). Когда расчет концентрации включен, становятся доступными все вычисляемые параметры: плотности отдельных компонентов, их расходы и концентрации. Способы задания плотности компонентов Считается, что плотность каждого компонента смеси зависит только от температуры и определяется одним из двух способов: 1) Алгебраический многочлен 5-й степени. 2) Кусочно-линейная аппроксимация (КЛА) от 1 до 20 точек. Способ задания плотности каждого компонента (метод аппроксимации) выбирается индивидуально для каждой среды.

Question: Что такое функция компенсации по давлению и как она реализована?
Answer: В расходомерах ЭЛМЕТРО-Фломак реализована функция компенсации влияния давления измеряемой среды на показания расхода и плотности. Функция компенсации автоматически корректирует измеряемые значения расхода и плотности в соответствии с измеренным или условно-постоянным значением давления измеряемой среды. Функция компенсации влияния давления может быть включена или отключена через экранное меню или через цифровой интерфейс. Разрешение компенсации включает компенсацию одновременно для расхода и для плотности. Давление для компенсации может быть определено следующими способами: 1) Ввод условно-постоянного (фиксированного) значения через экранное меню или через цифровой интерфейс по протоколам Modbus или HART7. 2) Захват давления с внешнего датчика по HART. Доступно только для протокола HART7 (при этом датчик давления может иметь версию протокола HART5 или HART7).

Question: Регистратор не поддерживает ПИД-регулирование
Answer: Если ваш регистратор не поддерживает функции ПИД-регулирования, то необходимо обновить его прошивку, обратившись в тех.поддержку. На данный момент по функциям регулирования в регистраторе реализовано: регулирование по ПИД-закону исполнительными устройствами: - ЦАП (используется токовый выход регистратора); - ШИМ (используются дискретные выходы регистратора); - МЭО (используются дискретные выходы регистратора); - автонастройка ПИД-регулятора; - регулирование по программе (циклограмме).

Question: Как разблокировать регистратор если забыли пароль
Answer: программа для разблокировки регистратора: http://elmetro.ru/files/update/runlock.zip Инструкция: 1. Подключите регистратор к компьютеру по RS-485 или Ethernet. 2. Запустите RUnlock.exe. Введите настройки подключения (COM-порт, скорость, и т.д.) и нажмите OK. Программа свяжется с регистратором и выдаст запрос на разблокировку: "Порт COM3, адрес 1: Разблокировать?" Нажмите "Да". После этого войдите в меню конфигурации регистратора (закладка "Общие") и установите новый пароль. Для того, чтобы регистратор работал без пароля нужно ввести "0000". Обратите внимание, что во время разблокировки программой регистратор должен находится в режиме "измерение" (показывать тренды/числа и пр.). Только после того, как программа скажет, что регистратор разблокирован нужно войти в настройки (все поля будут белыми, а не серыми) и установить новый пароль (или ввести 0000, если не нужен) и выйти из режима "настройка" для сохранения нового пароля.

Question: Could the flowmeter sensor be installed and operated in explosion hazardous areas?
Answer: Yes, it could. Sensor of ElMetro-Flomac flowmeter is equipped with “ia” category intrinsically safe circuit explosion-proof in accordance to GOST R 30852.10. This means that in case explosion hazardous mixture gets inside the sensor body, it will not explode since there are no conditions for sparking – a process which may lead to ignition of gas mixture. It is worth noting that Exia protection is safer than Exd.

Question: Is there a possibility of data reset (charts, totalizers, event logs, archives and etc.) with preservation of the recorder configuration settings?
Answer: There is no data reset of measurement archive since many our customers apply the device in the fields with a requirement – no possibility of deleting data even by means of utility functions (passwords and etc.) You could reset event log data in recorder settings at “Service” page -> “Reset event log” key. You may also reset totalizers report data in recorder settings at “Service” page -> “Reset report data” key.

Question: What opportunities are provided by “totalizers” function
Answer: 1) Counter mode. In present mode totalizer calculates a number of events. It could be useful in case totalizer should sum only at certain moments of the technological process. 2) Integrator mode. Computed value is processed by a recorder in accordance to following algorithms: “sum”, “average”, “minimum”/”maximum”, “constantly”, “at event” and etc. There is also such recorder function as “totalizer report”. It enables to keep records on each totalizer in 3 types of report – hourly, daily and monthly. These reports are kept simultaneously.

Question: Is there a possibility of simultaneous operation via RS-485/RS-232, RS-485 and CAN 2.0 interfaces?
Answer: Recorder ViER-М5.7 physically has only one serial interface and consequently supports only one connection. Recorders ViER-М7 and -104K support parallel connection.

Question: When a differential pressure transmitter with 4-20 mA is connected to the recorder, measurement result sometimes is less than 0 and signal is less than 4 mA, whereas flow value is displayed with “-” symbol. Could negative values not be taken in consider
Answer: Function "if(a<expression,0,signal)" should be used in the “expression” field in settings of the applied channel.

Question: What is “marks” function and how does it work?
Answer: Function “marks” is an additional user data archive which could store up to 300 records. Each mark has 4 user windows for input of any brief information. For the first time it was introduced at the request of metallurgists to keep records on smelting of each lot of metal.

Question: What accuracy classes of ElMetro-Flomac flowmeter are available for a fluid mass flow measurement?
Answer: According to new certificate ElMetro-Flomac has four accuracy rates: 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 and 0.5.

Question: What maximum permissible diameter of cables for connecting ElMetro-Flomac via cable inputs?
Answer: Permissible cable diameter is from 6 to 12 mm.

Question: To what extend and how quickly could ElMetro-Flomac flowmeter replace a MicroMotion Coriolis mass flowmeter produced by Emerson company?
Answer: Our company has experience in quick replacement of MicroMotion flowmeters to ElMetro-Flomac. In order to fulfill it we have specially developed support of a Modbus register map similar to MicroMotion’s, upper level system will not detect replacement of the flowmeter and you will not have to configure it again. Our company also supplies reducing inserts which enable to connect ElMetro-Flomac to ANSI standard flanges.

Question: How to integrate ElMetro-Flomac flowmeter into an automatic technological process control system (ATPCS)?
Answer: You could use 3 discrete outputs, analog output 4-20 mA, HART digital outputs or Modbus RTU to integrate ElMetro-Flomac into a ATPCS.

Answer: ElMetro-Flomac enables to measure mass flow in the range from 1 kg/h to 540 000 kg/h.

Question: Could ElMetro-Flomac be applied in dosing systems?
Answer: Yes, ElMetro-Flomac could be applied as a doser. In such case one of four totalizers and one of three discrete outputs, configured to be actuated when the totalizer exceeds a sertpoint, are to be used.

Question: Could ElMetro-Flomac be applied as a densimeter?
Answer: Yes, ElMetro-Flomac could be applied as a densimeter. Main errors for measuring density are ±1 kg/m3 and ±2 kg/m3; moreover, if density is calibrated under operating conditions error ±0.3 kg/m3 could be reached.

Question: What working mediums ElMetro-Flomac flowmeter is applied for?
Answer: ElMetro-Flomac could be applied for measuring mass flow of various one-phase liquids and gases as well as pulp. Volumetric gas content in liquid shall not exceed 5 %.

Question: How does ElMetro-IPT differ from other power supply sources which are cheaper and of the same power supply?
Answer: Power supply source ElMetro-IPT corresponds to the highest requirements to electromagnetic capacity, has galvanic isolation between input and output circuits, proper scheme of electronic protection against overloads and short circuit as well as precise output voltage with minimum deviations and pulsation. It has quite high reliability rate.

Question: What is minimum polling time of ElMetro-ViER channels?
Answer: Recorders ElMetro-ViER have minimum time of parallel polling of each channel which makes only 0.1 s.

Question: Does ElMetro-ViER recorder support mnemonic schemes?
Answer: Since 2015 recorders ElMetro-ViER-104K and ElMetro-ViER-M7 support mnemonic schemes intended for visual display of technological process. They are easy to draw and integrate by means of RConfig software supplied to configure recorders. We are planning to provide animated mnemonic schemes in 2017.

Question: What is maximum number of input channels in ElMetro-ViER?
Answer: Maximum number of analog inputs is up to 20 which could be extended to 64 if input-output modules ElMetro-MVV and ElMetro-MVV-02-Ex are applied.

Question: Could ElMetro-TeIR be protected from unauthorized alteration of parameters?
Answer: Yes, ElMetro-TeIR settings are protected by a password. There are following levels of parameters protection: a) no protection; b) parameters of settings menu are protected, c) parameters of settings menu and user menu (except for setpoints) are protected, d) all parameters of the device are protected.

Question: What is a “quick menu” of ElMetro-TeIR controller?
Answer: “quick menu” function (as well called “user menu”) is intended for quick alteration of required parameters (for example, limits of a bargraph scale or hysteresis). Engineer may add required parameters to the user menu during the device configuration. In the future these parameters could be easily changed during the controller operation.

Question: What are RS485 and RS232 interfaces of ElMetro-TeIR responsible for?
Answer: Controller with RS485 interface provides MODBUS RTU support. Intended for integration into automatic technological process control systems (ATPCS). Controller is supplied together with: description of ModBus commands supported by the device; ОРС-server which provides access to the device from SCADA systems; maintenance software for a personal computer (PC) which enables to configure the controller via RS485 interface remotely from PC. RS232 interface serves for configuring the controller from PC. The controller could be configured by means of a RS232 cable adapter which is supplied for a separate order (one per several devices). RS232 cable adapter is provided with relevant software.

Question: How many setpoints are available in ElMetro-TeIR controller?
Answer: Setpoints in ElMetro-TeIR controller are assigned not to its input as it is designed in recorders ElMetro-ViER, but to the controller outputs. Each discrete output (relay or opto-triac) has up to two setpoints. In this way, ElMetro-TeIR may be equipped with up to 6 setpoints.

Question: What is behavior of output signaling relays of your recorders at short-term power interruptions (problem of faulty operation)?
Answer: In case power supply interrupts for time period up to 200 ms, recorder does not change relay position. In the absence of power supply for more than 200 ms, recorder may turn off and relays will be switch to “OFF” position. Recorder is equipped with relay transfer contacts. The device could be adjusted in consideration to possible power supply interruptions so that relay would be in “OFF” position on default. Controller is available for order both with common relays (“R” option) and polarized relays (“RP” option). The second ones do not change their position at power interruptions.

Question: How do timers work and could we control consequence of locking actuation at alarm?
Answer: “Timer” function is intended for recorder operation control in accordance to predetermined time sequence. There are eight independent timer channels (for multichannel recorders) and two channels (for 1, 2 and 3-channel recorders). Timer counts down the specified time and executes up to four preset commands when time expires. For example timer function enables you to program a complex algorithm of alarm event processing (consequence of locking actuation) in emergency shutdown systems. Moreover, timers are applied to arrange program control of technological process.

Question: What is archive depth of ElMetro-ViER recorder?
Answer: Archive depth depends on the type of recording channels, their number and recording time. For example, if recording time is 0.1 s and there are 8 channels, archive depth will be 30 days; if recording time is 5 s and there are 4 channels, archive depth will correspondently be not less than 859 days. Recording period of each channel is from 0.1 to 60 seconds. Minimum chart length (continuous recording time interval) is 1 hour, whereas maximum length is 24 hours.

Question: Could ElMetro-ViER be adjusted in such a way that its work would be totally automatic?
Answer: Yes, there is such opportunity for ElMetro-ViER. The recorder is equipped with “Operation on schedule” function which enables to program certain actions with reference to real time and with interval from an hour to a month.

Question: Do you sell only products of your own production or of other manufacturers as well?
Answer: For convenience of our customers and in order to provide a full range of industrial equipment starting from primary transducers and ending with electric and metrological equipment ElMetro company provides package supplies which include both products of our own production and products of other manufacturers.

Question: How many setpoints per each channel are available in ElMetro-ViER recorder?
Answer: Up to 4 setpoints could be set per each channel of a videographic recorder ElMetro-ViER. Following types of setpoints are available: two upper levels, two lower levels, rate of rise, rate of signal fall and transducer breakout (for resistance, temperature resistance and thermal couples). In case setpoints are actuated, following actions could be carried out: change status of any relay; make a record into event logs; alarm signaling; start operation of totalizers, counters, timers and etc. Colour indication is provided when a pre-alarm (yellow) setpoint or alarm (red) setpoint are reached.

Question: What signals could be applied to the inputs of ElMetro-ViER?
Answer: ElMetro-ViER is equipped with analog, discrete/pulse-frequency inputs. Sensors with signals of voltage, resistance and current as well as pyrometers, RTDs and thermocouples could be connected to analog inputs of the recorder. Unified signals of current: 4-20, 0-20, 0-5 mA; of voltage: 0-100 mV, 0-1.1 V; of resistance: 0-325 Ohm. Discrete and pulse-frequency channels recognize following types of signals: “dry” contact (open collector), potential input (GOST R 51841-2001), pulse-frequency input according to IEC 60947-5-6 (NAMUR), signals of PNP-type sensors.

Question: What mathematical operations could be performed by ElMetro-ViER?
Answer: Analog measuring channels of the recorder are equipped with a built-in mathematical data processing, which means that direct result of measuring a physical quantity will be displayed in the screen together with any arithmetic expressions on basis of analog and discrete inputs data, for example: difference in sensors measurement results; calculation of liquid volume by its level in a storage tank of irregular shape, flow rate calculation according to pressure drops in compliance with GOST R 8.586(1-5)-2005. ElMetro-ViER recorders could be equipped with up to 64 mathematical channels which enable to execute similar functions. You could find more details on mathematical functions in “Creating mathematical expressions” section of manual instruction.
